Day 3: God’s New Covenant
Hello, church family! Today, we are focusing on the incredible promise of God’s new covenant. This covenant represents a fresh start for all of us, one where God’s laws are written on our hearts. Let’s explore how this applies to our journey in 2025.
Scripture:
"I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people." – Jeremiah 31:33
Reflection:
In the Old Testament, the covenant between God and His people was often broken because it relied on external rituals and human effort. But in Jeremiah 31, God promises something radically different: a covenant written on our hearts.
This new covenant, fulfilled through Jesus Christ, is deeply personal. It’s not about following a checklist but about living in a relationship with God. His Spirit guides us from within, shaping our hearts to align with His will.
Application:
As we begin this year, ask yourself: Is God’s Word written on my heart, or am I just going through the motions?
Spend time in prayer today, asking God to inscribe His Word more deeply in your life. Commit to memorizing a scripture this week that reminds you of His promises.
Prayer:
"Father, thank You for the new covenant made through Jesus Christ. Write Your Word on our hearts, transforming us to reflect Your will in all we do. Teach us to walk in the freedom and grace of this relationship. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
