ABOUT US

At Habitation Church, we are a community passionate about living out the teachings of Jesus and sharing His love with those around us. We believe in the power of service, genuine relationships, and spiritual growth, and we are committed to creating a space where everyone can experience transformation. Whether through worship, small groups, or outreach, we strive to be a place where people can connect, grow in their faith, and make a positive impact in the Pioneer Valley. We invite you to come as you are and join us on this journey of faith and community.

OUR PURPOSE

Our Vision

Our Vision is to become a cornerstone church of mercy, hope, truth, faith, and love in the Pioneer Valley.

Our Mission

Our mission at Habitation Church is that through acts of service and mercy, we will minister the city with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through evangelism, spiritual formation, Discipleship, and small groups; to develop mature disciples of Christ and, in so doing, transform the Pioneer Valley.

Our Strategic Focus to the Mission

  • Every organization should be dictated by a set of values that keeps them accountable and committed to the vision. Core values also allow us to present an additional aid to the mission by proving a workflow on how we will achieve the vision. Even though the vision may be delayed, the call of Habitation Church is to continue to make strides in following the mission and its core values. (Habakkuk 2)

  • Evangelism is in the heart of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Evangelism should be both incarnational (how we live) and informational (how we share or proclaim). We are believing that from 2023-2033 Habitation Church will experience an amazing harvest of souls that will transform the city of Holyoke, MA, and all surrounding cities. We play a role in God's Master Plan and our lifestyles should reflect that. (Matthew 9:35-38, 2 Timothy 2:15, Acts 1:8, Acts 2, Romans 10:14-15)

  • Discipleship is the second step in fulfilling the vision and mission of Habitation Church and the Great Commission of Jesus Christ. It is not only important for unbelievers to receive the Gospel of Jesus Christ through evangelism, but it is also imperative that the now-new believer is founded in the truths found in the Scriptures. Our goal is to produce disciples who make disciples through empowering believers through teaching, mentoring, spiritual formation, and doing life together in so doing we will be equipped for every season in life rooted in His word.  (Matthew 28:18-20, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Timothy 4:2)

  • Habitation Church will invest in the spiritual formation of all its members. Through prayer, teaching, preaching, pastoring and counseling Habitation Church pastors and ministerial teams will ensure that all members are being properly cared for (spirit, body, and soul) in an atmosphere of mercy, grace, respect, love, and uncompromised Biblical truth. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Hebrews 4:16, Romans 12:1-2)

  • The model Habitation Church has adopted for small groups is the one taught to us through the scriptures when the first church was birthed. We believe that our faith is developed individually and in community. Small groups allow us to meet people where they are, whether that’s investigating God for the first time (GiG), Bible studies, and fellowship with individuals that share a common life journey (marriages, women, men, young adults, youth, etc.) The purpose of the small groups is to create the opportunity for faith-building, brotherly accountability, and Christ-like character development. We believe that transformed and renewed individuals will transform and renew their neighborhood and consequently the City of Holyoke. (Act 2:42-47)
