Day 2: The Power of Mercy
Devotional:
Mercy is the act of showing compassion or forgiveness to someone who deserves punishment. God's mercy is renewed every morning, offering us a fresh start. The parables of the Prodigal Son and Peter's denial are powerful examples of mercy in action. Mercy spares us from the consequences we deserve and invites us into a loving relationship with God. Reflect on the times you have received mercy and how it has impacted your life.
Bible Verse:
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline. - 2 Timothy 1:7
Reflection Question:
How have you experienced God's mercy in your life, and how can you extend that mercy to others?
“Mercy is the act of showing compassion or forgiveness to someone who deserves punishment.” - PJR
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your mercy that is renewed every morning. Help me to show the same compassion and forgiveness to others. Amen.
